    How can you make a difference?

UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual consultant to transform PowerPoint presentations to videos for the “Evaluation Learning Webinars.”

  • To produce YouTube friendly versions of the training pieces accessible to many individuals and organizations, contributing to the National Evaluation Capacity Development in the region and worldwide.
  • The consultant is expected to work with the staff of the Evaluation function in EAP region to understand the content material and organizational context.

    Work Assignment:

The consultant is expected to work with the Evaluation Advisor and EAP region’s MCES Evaluation Specialists to understand the content material and organizational context. Services are sought for the script and production of 5 vlogs on the Evaluation webinars.

For each video the consultant shall:

  1. Adapt the power point slides and material submitted by UNICEF for a suitable YouTube video (mp4 format, editable format)
  2. Transcribe into text the zoom recordings or audio provided by UNICEF for each session
  3. Animate texts and images in each slide for a YouTube video that would be attractive to potential viewers interested to learn about evaluations.
  4. Add curtains between sections, and divide the video by clickable chapters
  5. Voice over the audio in English and Thai
  6. Add music / sound mix
  7. Create subtitles in the two languages mentioned above for the hearing impaired

Work Schedule:

Week 1: Production of a script (including 1 round of review) based on the transcription of one of the session’s audio

Week 2-3: Creation of 1 Vlogs (including 1 round of review with feedback within 1 working day), including captions

Week 4: Finalization of one VLOG

Week 5-7: Production of a script (including 1 round of review) based on the transcription of three session’s audio

Week 8-12: Creation of 3 Vlogs (including 1 round of review with feedback within 1 working day), including captions

Week 13-16: Finalization of three additional VLOGs

End Product(s):

  • Deliverable 1: First video scripts and video log
  • Deliverable 2: Remaining four video scripts and video logs
  • Payment of 30% upon approval of the deliverable 1.
  • Payment of 70% upon approval of the deliverable 2.

    Duration of Contract: 80 working days during the period of October 2021 – March 2022.

Working Location and Official Travel: The consultant will work remotely in his/her own premises but will regularly report to the supervisor. All office supplies and materials will be provided by the Consultant.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

- Graphic design, cinematography, social communications, or similar.

Skills and Expertise:

- Expertise in communications, video animation, and video editing

- At least 6 years of experience in video editing

- Able to provide good storytelling through video clips

- Experience with the development sector is an asset

- Creative and easy to work, sensitive to children and children’s issues

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
