Consultancy: Video Editor

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfil their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.

For every child, a voice

The Global Content Strategy Section (GCS) within Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) at UNICEF creates compelling public-facing content to mobilize the support of decision makers and the public for children across the world. GCS plans, develops, and produces compelling and creative content that contributes directly to the achievement of priority advocacy and communication objectives for the organization. Through multiple platforms and in multiple languages, GCS draws attention to the many facets of UNICEF’s work, encouraging public support, participation and action, as well as ensuring greater transparency and accountability.

GCS is looking to hire a video editor on a 6-month contract, to edit videos and create high end graphics for video productions intended for online and broadcast platforms in support of our Global Health, Vaccines, Pandemic Response advocacy strategy. High level of proficiency and established track record editing and creating graphics for videos intended for social media platforms required.

How can you make a difference?

The video editor will be responsible for producing and editing content specifically tied to vaccine confidence and vaccine equity Ensuring equitable and fair access to safe and affordable COVID-19 vaccines for all low- and middle-income countries, priority groups, and vulnerable populations in 2021 is the priority goal for UNICEF

The COVID-19 pandemic and its secondary effects are taking an unprecedented toll on the health and well-being of children around the world, threatening to roll back years of progress in reducing child poverty, leaving children deprived of essential services and families struggling financially. This includes disrupted immunization programmes which leave children vulnerable to vaccine-preventable diseases, disrupted food supply chains that leave children vulnerable to malnutrition, and school closures that limit children’s access to learning.

UNICEF’s COVID-19 communication and advocacy content will focus on three pillars of storytelling: Progress being made in procurement and supply, country preparedness and delivery with a focus on equitable distribution and building public confidence in vaccines against COVID-19.
