Long Description ---------------- **WORK ASSIGNMENT** Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO Regional Bureau for Sciences in the Arab States in Cairo and the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist for Culture, the Individual Consultant will work on ICT related duties at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) for eleven months (tentatively from April 2021 to February 2022). The consultant shall: 1- Develop, review, and modify information security policies and standards and implement them for the NMEC data centre under its Internet Security Control Framework. 2- Monitor advancements in information security to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance. 3- Manage compliance testing and monitoring of current and future regulatory obligations, and other regulatory matters as required. 4- Conduct internal security risk assessments and security compliance audits. 5- Establish IT security audit procedures relevant to PCI-DSS, CJIS and other compliance frameworks. 6- Work with NMEC's IT team to ensure information security risk findings are reviewed and solutions are implemented. 7- Analyse, develop, and deliver meaningful reports on the security state. 8- Work with relevant parties to commission activities relating to contingency planning, business continuity management, and IT disaster recovery. In line with UNESCO’s overall gender mainstreaming strategy, the Individual Consultant is expected to integrate a gender perspective in all activities and apply gender-mainstreaming concepts whenever feasible. Long Description ---------------- **Deliverables and Timeline:** Contract duration: Eleven months (provisionally April 2021 to February 2022). The consultant is expected to deliver a monthly report including the tasks carried out for the month and a work plan for the upcoming month on a monthly basis to claim the consultancy fees.
