Under the overall guidance of the Chief Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, this consultancy supports UNICEF Jordan (JCO) PME section for the period of four months to perform various end-year and new year planning and reporting tasks. The tasks associated with this consultancy will be specifically to support drafting and finalising UNICEF Annual Report 2021 and all its related components (SMQs, RAM and summary narratives), and provide support to Strategic Management Review Meeting (SMR).

How can you make a difference?

SCOPE OF WORK & DELIVERABLES:

• Coordinate input for end year COAR 2021 (SMQs, RAM and summary narratives) for all programme Outcomes and Outputs in liaising with relevant programme and operation section. • Finalize COAR 2021 (SMQ, RAM indicators and RAM progress analytical statements, I) by addressing comments shared by HQs and MENARO. • Write the summary narrative of UNICEF JCO Annual Report (COAR) • Coordinate/Follow up with the “editor” on editing, cross checking of UNICEF JCO Annual Report (COAR) summary report and RAM/SMQs

• Support the end-year review meeting which will be part of the Strategic Moment of Reflection (SMR) by attending the SMR meeting, extracting and documenting relevant information from the SMR for Annual Review report and summarise the key action point

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Advanced university degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Law and Behavior Science is required.

Experience****:

  • A minimum of 8 years of extensive professional experience in Reporting, Results-based Management, Planning, data analysis, reporting, monitoring and evaluation in international development work.
  • Previous experience in writing comprehensive reports and country office annual report would a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with and experience in UNICEF corporate planning and reporting mechanism especially good understanding of country office annual reporting and planning guidelines are required
  • Technical knowledge:
    • Knowledge in operating UNICEF corporate planning and reporting system.
    • Good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Language: Proficiency in English is required.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
