The Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) of UNICEF covers the development, implementation and management of innovative, effective and secure IT integrated business solutions and technology infrastructure in support of the Organization’s strategic objectives.

How can you make a difference?

UNICEF is currently implementing an integrated fundraising and marketing platform based on Salesforce solutions utilizing Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and other related components for global use by multiple countries. We currently require a Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) Functional QA Analyst. The SES QA Analyst will work under the matrix supervision of the QA Manager and Technical Product Owner of Supporter Engagement Platform. On a day-to-day basis, the person will closely work with Technical Business analyst and Technical Project Manager and is expected to develop detail functional understanding of SES platform and take ownership of end of functional testing of the solution.

Key Deliverables:

  • Work with the business analyst, Salesforce developers, integration team, End User, front end team, Third-party vendors (where applicable) and complete functional testing;
  • Test flow, Lightning Components and other relevant automation;
  • Participate regularly in the Sprint meetings;
  • Develop and maintain the automated test cases using Selenium where applicable;
  • Maintain the test data for manual and automated testing;
  • Validate any defects that were identified during the various sprints;
  • Testing large data volume loads and batch process;
  • Review and prepare the manual test cases and the functional requirements for the components that will integrate with other areas of the UNICEF/UN landscape;
  • Enter defects in Azure DevOps and coordinate with relevant development for defect fix and re-test and own closure of defect;
  • Support end user in UAT testing by providing functional expertise;
  • Produce QA status report based on agreed frequency with Technical Project Manager;
  • Develop, Maintain and Execute the automated test scripts during the Sprints when applicable using Selenium or relevant tools.

Skills and Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications required are:

  • First University Degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering;
  • 4+ years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud platform;
  • 2+ years of experience with Selenium, scripting not just record and play back;
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps;
  • Experience developing automated components using Selenium;
  • Experience with testing of web-based applications;
  • Experience in Java and Object-Oriented Programming;
  • Knowledge of JavaScript is desirable;
  • Experience of API testing using Postman;
  • Experience testing mobile applications on various devices;
  • Knowledge of UNIX commands, knowledge of SQL; ability to query and update database tables is desired;
  • Must be able to multitask as multiple testing efforts run in parallel;
  • Must have excellent written/verbal skills;
  • 5+ years of technology experience.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Additional UN languages will be considered an asset.

This consultancy will be off-site for a period of 11.5 months.

The consultant will be working remotely due to COVID-19 and will continue working as such throughout the project and 2021 calendar year.

Evaluation Method:

Each applicant will be evaluated based on the cumulative analysis methodology (weighted scoring method), where the award of the contract will be made to the individual consultant or vendor whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable; and
  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of technical skills and financial proposal specific to the solicitation.

Technical Criteria weight: [70%]

Financial Criteria weight: [30%].
