Background & Rationale

The Global Content Strategy Section (GCS) within Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) at UNICEF creates compelling public-facing content to mobilize the support of decision makers and the public for children across the world. GCS plans, develops, and produces compelling and creative content that contributes directly to the achievement of priority advocacy and communication objectives for the organization. Through multiple platforms and in multiple languages, GCS draws attention to the many facets of UNICEF’s work, encouraging public support, participation and action, as well as ensuring greater transparency and accountability.

GCS is looking to hire a Content Producer on an 11.5 month contract to manage, commission, produce and coordinate the creation of video and photo materials intended for online and broadcast platforms in support of UNICEF’s Global Advocacy Priority on Child Health & Survival. The Content Producer will be responsible for commissioning, producing and editing video and photo content specifically tied to UNICEF’s Global Advocacy Priority Child Health and Survival, with a specific focus on vaccines and primary healthcare. The content will:

Build a compelling evidence-based global narrative on child health and survival which cuts through with decision makers at a global and national level
