Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, every right

From its founding in 1962 to its role in the ongoing COVID-19 response, the UNICEF Global Supply Hub in Copenhagen has been at the core of humanitarian supply chains and logistics operations, supporting increased access to strategic supplies and services for children, their families and communities – together with other UNICEF Global Supply Hubs in Accra, Brindisi, Dubai, Panama City and Shanghai. In 2020, the UNICEF Global Supply Hubs throughput reached $260.8 million.

Today, the state-of-the-art UNICEF Global Supply Hub in Copenhagen stands as the largest global humanitarian warehouse, spanning an area of more than 20,000 m2, the equivalent of three football fields. Boasting cutting-edge technology, it is fully automated and stores around 850 different supply items and up to 36,000 pallets of supplies.

Leading up to its 60th anniversary in October 2022, the world’s largest humanitarian warehouse – the UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen – is planning host a series of events with strong cultural aspects over a one-year period to shed light on its significant humanitarian footprint over the past six decades.

How can you make a difference?

Through up to six cultural activities that will culminate with an event to mark the milestone 60th anniversary, SD will celebrate the role of supplies in accelerating the rights of children and increasing access to life-saving, essential supplies through procurement, innovation, supply and logistics. The activities will use art, play and other forms of expression to tell the story of supplies and UNICEF Supply Division’s role in procuring and delivering them.

The results have direct impact on the celebration of UNICEF Supply Division’s 60th anniversary in October 2022, translating to the effectiveness of Supply Division’s internal and external communications and outreach efforts, enhancing the timely visibility, raising awareness and understanding of the Division’s and UNICEF’s mission within UNICEF, with the media, National Committees, specialized publics such as suppliers and service providers as well as the general public. This post is crucial to achieve the timely and effective implementation of Supply Division’s OMP.
