We are looking for Online Volunteers to conduct online English classes for children and youth, as part of our projects in West Bengal. The goal of these classes is to make students communicate fearlessly, recognize their strengths, and most importantly develop the confidence to pursue their goals. A commitment of 2 hours per week is necessary. All classes are conducted online via Skype. The duration of each class is for an hour. Classes are between 6 pm and 9 pm IST (Indian Standard Time). Fluency in English and Bengali languages are a must. Applicants without CV will be rejected. Volunteers will be given a short orientation prior to tutoring the students.All applicants will be interviewed via phone or Skype.

The mission of Ann Foundation is to give the right platform and learning opportunities to children, youth, physically disabled, and the underprivileged to attain their highest potential in their lives. Offering online English, Personality Development and basic computer literacy classes is part of our literacy project for children and young adults in various countries around the world. The knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens.
Volunteers: 10 needed
1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
Fluency in English and Bengali is a definite requirement as the children/youth are beginners. Some experience in teaching would be well looked upon but not absolutely necessary. Some of the qualities sought in volunteers are the dedication to the task, passion for teaching and interacting with children, flexibility, capacity for effective team work and willingness to adhere to committed schedules and responsibilities. Volunteers without CV will be rejected.
