You have:

  • Fluency in English and Bengali is required for teaching children who are beginners.
  • Commitment of 26 weeks, offering 2 hours of classes weekly is mandatory.

We are looking for Online Volunteers to conduct English classes for children in Dhaka, Bangladesh. All classes are conducted online via Skype. The goal of these classes is to make students acquire English fearlessly, recognize their strengths, and most importantly develop the confidence to pursue their goals. A commitment of 26 weeks, 2 hours per week is a must. The duration of each class is for 1 hour. Classes are between 9 am and 12 pm (Bangladeshi Standard Time). Volunteers should be willing to give classes for 2 consecutive days. Volunteers will be given a short orientation prior to engagement.

    The mission of Ann Foundation is to give the right platform and learning opportunities to children, youth, physically disabled, and the underprivileged to attain their highest potential in their lives. Offering online English, Personality Development and basic computer literacy classes is part of our literacy project for children and young adults in various countries around the world. The knowledge and skills imparted through these classes, we hope students are empowered to become literate, self-confident, employable and independent citizens.

    Fluency in English and Bengali is a definite requirement as the children/youth are beginners. Some experience in teaching would be well looked upon but not absolutely necessary. Some of the qualities sought in volunteers are the dedication to the task, passion for teaching and interacting with children, flexibility, capacity for effective team work and willingness to adhere to committed schedules and responsibilities.
