We are looking for Volunteers to conduct online English classes via Skype for youth at Safdaria Girls High School in Hyderabad. Online Volunteers must be able to converse in Telugu and English. Classes are conducted from Monday-Saturday between 2to 4-30 pm IST. Online Volunteers will be required to teach for one hour on two consecutive days at a mutually agreed time and date. Applicants will be interviewed via phone or Skype.Orientation and syllabus will be given to all the volunteers. Offering online English classes is part of our literacy project for children and youth. We aim to develop English skills and further increase their confidence of communicating in English. We focus on improving spoken and written English for the disadvantaged children in developing countries. Each online volunteer's contribution will help to improve their English and instill confidence to pursue their goals.
Volunteers: 10 needed
1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks
Fluency in Telugu and English is mandatory as the students are at beginners level. Some experience in teaching would be preferred but not necessary. We candidates who are motivated & committed because the children consider the volunteers as their teacher, mentor, and a friend. Only candidates who are committed and are fluent in both Telugu and English should apply.
