Conduct IT training sessions and manage educational programs
You have:
- A university degree in IT or a related field is required.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as IT/ICT Trainer is required.
- Excellent knowledge of computer - Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, MS Teams, etc.) is required.
- Fluency in oral and written English is required.
- Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
Contract
This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.
Description of task
Under the direct supervision of Chief of Integrated Mission Training Centre (CIMTC) the UN volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Conduct skills gap analyses
- Map out long-term training plans
- Prepare educational material
- Select educational methods, like on-the-job coaching, conferences, in-class training, workshops, and e-learning courses
- Assess the impact of training on staff members/personnels’ performance
- Assess the need of training and deliver computer training
- Liaise with external partners and outsource training, as needed
- Gather feedback from trainees and trainers after each session
- Prepare reports for each learning program
- Update curriculum database and training records
- Conducts research on new technologies as requested; keeps abreast of developments in the field; assist in testing and evaluating new products and technologies.
- Manage/update the IMTC portal and databases
- Performs other related duties as required.
