This role is a member of the IRC’s Global Partnerships and Philanthropic Services (GPPS) unit, a team of specialists which provides a variety of cultivation, support and stewardship functions for the organization’s high-value donors, partners, and supporters. We have an exciting opportunity to join the department and be part of a team that is critical to the advancement of our aspirational high-value (HV) goals and vision.

The Compliance & Project Management Officer will play a key role ensuring organizational compliance for private sector grants by reviewing donor agreements, helping to develop agreement templates, guidelines, and tools, and in developing and delivering training sessions focused on compliance requirements of private donors. They will also help improve coordination between departments to strengthen and streamline business development, awards management, and compliance processes across the HV private funding portfolio. This role reports to the Director, Program Services in GPPS.

Scope of Work: ------------------

The major responsibilities will include:

Compliance (40%): ---------------------

· Review private donor agreements and liaise with Office of General Council (OGC) and other HQ departments (e.g., Finance, Global Supply Chain), as needed.

· Support the Subaward and Partnerships team by reviewing private donor subaward templates to ensure compliance with donor terms as necessary.

· Support resolution of award management issues related to compliance with and interpretation of private donor agreement terms.

· Work with the Senior Compliance Officer - Private Sector Donors to develop and maintain agreement templates, guidelines, and tools to facilitate contractual review and negotiations and ensure optimal implementation of private donor requirements.

Project Management (60%): -----------------------------

· Develop and maintain work plans for high value projects, assigning responsibilities for team members, and providing timelines for deliverables;

· Facilitate internal communication, including keeping internal and external collaborators informed with respect to process to facilitate timely decision-making on key issues; ensure all internal reviews and approvals are completed prior to submission.

· Help ensure seamless transition from pre-award to post-award stage for private grants;

· Provide additional project management and internal communication support as requested;

Essential Qualifications: -----------------------------

- Minimum four years demonstrated knowledge and prior experience in compliance, grant management, and/or operations management - Proven expertise in interpreting and applying regulatory language in executing awards and contracts from private entities and in maintaining a current knowledge of changes in the language, application and enforcement of this language - Experience in organizational problem solving, operations - Previous experience with large international nonprofit organizations required - Previous experience providing compliance training in a multicultural setting - Demonstrable experience of setting up and monitoring large, multi-sectoral and multi-country private sector partnerships and working across various teams and functions; - Ability to analyze and synthesize information and excellent attention to detail; - Outstanding people skills: strong ability to communicate constructively across teams with different strengths; - Solid organizational skills: ability to be flexible and in a fast-paced multi-task team environment; - Language skills: English required; proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Arabic is a plus!

Desirable Skills & Experience: --------------------------------------

- Experience implementing medium- to large-scale programs in humanitarian or development settings
