Overview

Apply for the consultancy assignment by reviewing the terms of reference and documents.

You have:

  • Master's degree in economics.
  • 7 years of experience in micro-level economic analyses.
  • Good working knowledge in statistical analyses and performance measurement.
  • Established professional track record, preferably with experience in similar initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of the concepts of competitiveness and clusters.
  • Familiarity with establishing monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Developed communication skills and the ability to present to various private and public sector groups.
  • Proficiency in English. Arabic is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal and teaching skills.

Competencies

  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Demonstrates integrity and fairness, by modelling the UN/UNDP’s values and ethical standards;
  • Promotes the vision, mission and strategic goals of UNDP;

Required Skills and Experience

The consultant should preferably have:

(i) A master’s degree, in economics.

(ii) 7 years of experience in micro-level economic analyses, including, but not limited to, experience in establishing a set of indicators to monitor economic performance, experience in sampling, experience in setting up a database or software.

(iii) Good working knowledge in statistical analyses and performance measurement.

(iv) Established professional track record, preferably with experience in similar initiatives.

(v) Deep understanding of the concepts of competitiveness and clusters.

(vi) Familiarity with establishing monitoring and evaluation systems.

(vii) Developed communication skills and the ability to present to various private and public sector groups.

(viii) Proficiency in English. Arabic is a plus.

(ix) Good interpersonal and teaching skills.
