Conduct monitoring of field activities for community programs.

You have:

  • Prior experience in commodities management preferred.
  • University Bachelor Degree in any discipline
  • Prior experience of working in community development preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with a variety of people in the community
  • Knowledge of project cycle, and understanding of design, monitoring and evaluation
  • Good knowledge of English and Computer aptitude
  • Ability to train and mobilize community members
  • Ability to train staffs and non-staffs in all aspects of M&E
  • Able to follow and enforce guidelines accurately
  • Detail focused and able to identify discrepancies and locate process difficulties
  • Ability to ride a motorbike and travel to project site individually

Conduct monitoring of field level activities to ensure that activities are performed in accordance with the work plan and proposal

  • Monitor the work completed in Food for Work projects to ensure that work norms are being met as planned. Make recommendations for changing of work norms or ration sizes if necessary.
  • Monitor attendance at Food for Training and Food for Education to ensure records are being accurately kept.
  • Visit vulnerable group beneficiaries to ensure they have received the correct amount of food.
  • Monitor the storage of commodities in the warehouse to ensure that they are being kept at the appropriate standard.
  • Ensure there is no overlap between beneficiaries from each initiative

Involve in Project planning and monitor its achievements through available tools.

  • Assist the team in preparing Detail Implementation Plan.
  • Assist AM&E Officer in preparing Logical Framework, Indicator Tracking Table and Activity Tracking Table.
  • Monitor the achievements against plan using Logical Framework, Indicator Tracking Table, Activity Tracking Table and Activity Control Sheet.
  • Take a leading role in managing all the field level survey and assessments (e.g. Post Distribution Monitoring Survey)
  • Responsible to submit ‘Field Level M&E report’ monthly to AM&E Officer

Ensure the paper works are done and documented in line with the organizational requirement

  • Conduct monthly physical count of commodities in warehouse to verify quantities.
  • Ensure beneficiary cards are completed accurately and kept by the appropriate person.
  • Ensure all paperwork associated with distribution, work and training is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintains good networking with the staff, community and government authorities

  • Ensure working with team spirit among the team
  • Mobilise the staff members and community members to be responsive of their assign duties
  • Persuade the staff to do according to Food Program's guideline
  • Participate as a team with a corrective action by using M&E tools

Support the management with reporting problems and suggesting solutions

  • Report all discrepancies to the Field Coordinator and National Office in a timely manner,
  • Suggest possible courses of action to be taken to fix the problems
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager in a timely and accurate fashion.

Required Professional Experience

  • Prior experience in commodities management preferred.

Required Education, training, license, registration and certification

  • University Bachelor Degree in any discipline
