Contract

This is a UNV Community Volunteer contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV Community Volunteer contracts.

Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 18 years old. Applicants must be local residents in the community of assignment.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the UN Women Programme Officer EVAW- SI, the UN Volunteer will:

  • Provide technical support for SEII’s gender focal point and administration Gender Working Group in Municipal level (Viqueque/Ermera/Bobonaro)
  • Work together with focal point to coordinate SEII’s program and activities at the Municipal level based on the plan orient by SEII and Ministry of State Administration.
  • Contribution to relation and coordination between SEII and Municipal Administration on Gender Equality
  • Support focal point to represent SEII in the all event that organize by Municipal and submit report to SEII based on the hierarchy at SEII
  • Work together with SEII’s focal point to oversee municipal work, including annual planning activities base on SEII’s orientation.
  • Support SEII’s focal point to prepare, coordinate regular municipal gender working group, including prepare of program budgeting proposal on gender issue for municipal.
  • Participate and contribute to regular meeting of municipal Gender Working Group to monitor how gender mainstreaming into municipal’s plan, including municipal line ministries work plan, do monitoring, mentoring and evaluation for the implementation of activities.
  • Work together with team and facilitate and coordinate with Women Potential Association at the municipal level – advocacy, women’s participation for the prevention and response to violence against women at the municipal level.
  • Work together with SEII’s focal point and Ministry of State Adminsitration for the Gender Workin Group through EU-UN Spotlgiht Initiative, the partnership between UN Women and SEII to eliminate violence againts women and girls (particularly Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence) through SEII’s Focal point, particularly:
    • Work together with SEII’s focal point to create a plan, prepare and coordaiinte with president of municipal authroity in term of capacity building ofr GWG members regards to annual planning and budgeting process
    • Support with documentation on municipal contribution in the monitoring and report prepration on natinal Action Plan – gender based violence (2021)Tetum

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Secondary education
