You have:

Under the direct supervision of the designated UNDP Project Officer, the Community Logistics Support Volunteer will provide operational and logistical assistance to support the planning, coordination, and successful implementation of the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) initiative. The volunteer will work closely with the Project Officer responsible for logistics to ensure that event preparations, venue operations, equipment, materials, and stakeholder support are effectively coordinated before, during, and after the event. The volunteer will contribute to creating a safe, organized, and efficient environment that enables participating government agencies, service providers, partners, and community members to access and deliver services seamlessly.
Pre-event Logistics and Coordination: ● Assist the Project Officer in preparing for all logistical aspects of the Technical Assistance Centre. ● Support the organization, inventory, and distribution of event materials, supplies, and equipment. ● Assist with packing and preparing registration materials, signage, participant information packages, and other event resources. ● Help verify that required materials and equipment are available and ready prior to deployment. ● Support coordination with participating agencies, community representatives, and service providers regarding logistical arrangements. ● Assist with venue inspections and preparation activities, as required. ● Support communication with vendors, volunteers, and stakeholders on logistical matters under the guidance of the Project Officer.
Event Operations Support: ● Assist with venue setup, including registration areas, service booths, waiting areas, directional signage, and meeting spaces. ● Ensure tables, chairs, tents, equipment, and supplies are appropriately arranged and maintained throughout the event. ● Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials and supplies as needed. ● Serve as the primary logistical runner by transporting documents, equipment, supplies, and messages between event locations and stakeholders. ● Respond promptly to operational requests from the Project Officer and event coordination team. ● Support participating government agencies and partner organizations with logistical needs to facilitate service delivery. ● Monitor the functionality and organization of event spaces and report logistical issues requiring attention. ● Support crowd flow by helping maintain clear access routes and orderly movement throughout the venue. ● Help ensure that event signage remains visible, accurate, and properly positioned. Administrative and Coordination Support ● Assist the Project Officer with maintaining attendance records, volunteer sign-in sheets, and distribution logs. ● Support documentation of logistical activities, inventory usage, and operational issues during the event. ● Assist with coordinating meeting times, deliveries, and other logistical schedules. ● Help organize project documents and event materials as required. ● Maintain clear communication with the event coordination team regarding operational needs and progress. ● Support implementation of contingency arrangements in response to unforeseen operational challenges.
Post-event Activities: ● Assist with dismantling event infrastructure and restoring the venue. ● Support the collection, packing, and inventory of reusable materials and equipment. ● Help document damaged or missing equipment and report findings to the Project Officer. ● Assist with organizing logistical records and activity documentation. ● Participate in post-event debriefings and contribute recommendations for improving future events.
Other Responsibilities: ● Participate in orientation sessions, briefings, and training activities organized by UNDP. ● Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the values and principles of the United Nations and the United Nations Volunteers programme. ● Maintain confidentiality of project information and participant data. ● Comply with all safety, safeguarding, and operational procedures. ● Perform other related duties, within the scope of the assignment, as requested by the supervisor to support the successful implementation of the Technical Assistance Centre.
