Job title: Community Engagement and Empowered Worldview (EWV) Coordinator

Reports to: Strategy and Evidence Lead

The Community Engagement and Empowered Worldview Coordinator supports the integration of Transformational Development principles into World Vision’s Integrated Programming Framework. The role strengthens community ownership, participation, and spiritual transformation through Empowered Worldview and proven engagement approaches. It ensures that programs are inclusive, values-driven, and aligned with WV’s mission to empower communities, especially the most vulnerable, toward sustained child well-being.

25% Community engagement

  • Facilitate Adaptive Programming Approach (APA) Integration: Lead the application of APA and related tools across all stages of community engagement—from visioning and design to joint implementation, monitoring, and reflection—ensuring alignment with Area Program (AP) and project processes.
  • Promote Community Ownership and Sustainability: Strengthen community participation and local resource sharing to enhance program effectiveness, resilience, and long-term sustainability of child well-being outcomes.
  • Ensure Inclusion of the Most Vulnerable: Support AP teams in identifying and prioritizing the most vulnerable children and families, ensuring their voices are included and their needs addressed through inclusive engagement strategies.
  • Build Capacity of Field Teams and Partners: Provide training, coaching, and tools to AP managers and staff to enhance their competencies in community engagement, Empowered Worldview, and values-based development approaches.
  • Facilitate Community Feedback and Learning: Promote accountability and continuous improvement by facilitating participatory tools such as Annual Community Review and Planning, community feedback mechanisms, and reflection sessions.

35% EWV and Faith and development project models

  • Facilitate Learning and Application of EWV and F&D Models: Promote understanding and integration of Empowered World View and other F&D models such as Celebrating Families and Channels of Hope, supporting values-based and spiritually transformative development.
  • Build Capacity of Faith Partners and Communities: Provide tailored training and coaching to faith leaders, partners, and community members to strengthen their role in promoting child well-being and inclusive development.
  • Equip Field Staff for Implementation: Train and support Area Program staff with practical tools and approaches to effectively apply EWV and F&D models in alignment with WV’s mission and local realities.
  • Contextualize Global Guidance: Adapt global EWV and F&D guidance to the Mongolian context, ensuring cultural relevance and effective integration into local programming.
  • Promote Collaborative Learning and Reflection: Organize learning sessions, reflection workshops, and experience-sharing platforms for field teams and faith actors to foster continuous improvement and shared impact.

20% Evidence based F&D project models implementation

  • Track Implementation of EWV and F&D Models: Develop and apply simple monitoring tools to assess the reach, quality, and TD impact of EWV, Celebrating Families, and Channels of Hope activities at the community level.
  • Monitor Community Organizing Outcomes: Collect and analyze data on community mobilization, participation, and ownership—especially among the most vulnerable—to inform program adjustments and learning.
  • Evaluate Capacity Building Efforts: Assess the effectiveness of training and coaching provided to field staff, faith partners, and community leaders, using feedback and performance indicators to improve future sessions.
  • Document and Share Learning: Capture lessons learned, success stories, and challenges from EWV and F&D implementation, and facilitate reflection sessions to promote adaptive programming and continuous improvement.
  • Resource acquisition: Collaborate with technical, DMEAL, and grant acquisition teams to contribute to the design of project proposals, ensuring integration of Empowered Worldview and Faith & Development models. Provide contextualized inputs that reflect community priorities, spiritual transformation, and WV’s values-based approach, aligned with donor requirements and strategic frameworks.

15% Internal and External Liaison and Coordination

  • Serve as the strategic liaison and primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the programming and other functions.
  • Strengthen Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Area Program teams, technical specialists, and DMEAL staff to ensure integrated planning, implementation, and learning across community engagement and faith-based initiatives.
  • Engage Faith and Community Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with local faith leaders, community-based organizations, and traditional structures to promote shared ownership of child well-being and values-based development.
  • Represent WV in External Platforms: Participate in relevant networks, forums, and partnerships related to community engagement, faith and development, and child well-being to share learning, influence practice, and strengthen collaboration.

5% Other responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to decision-making while modelling full alignment with World Vision’s mission, core values, and the Covenant of Partnership. Serve as a role model in living out the Witness to Jesus Christ policy, demonstrating Christ-centered leadership to the programming team and the wider staff community.
  • Actively participate in relevant capacity-building initiatives (online or in-person) and spiritual development activities such as devotions and chapels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Strategy and Evidence Lead to support the overall mission and effectiveness of World Vision Mongolia
