Overview

Support community engagement, development programs, and relationship building.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, public administration, or a related field
• Previous experience in community development, facilitation, or related roles
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and community development tools

Community Engagement, Program Development and Capacity Building

• Actively support Project Coordinator and Area Manager and in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting processes relevant to assigned areas.
• Mobilise and prepare communities for smooth project implementation for enhanced impact.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate and organize various project events/training /meeting in the communities as part of the project implementation
• Design and implement community development programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate resources and activities to support project objectives.
• Provide training and support to community members and organizations.
• Empower communities to take ownership of development efforts.
• Project DIP and budget are developed on time training conducted to community groups (e.g. farmer groups, women groups, water user groups, ECCD committee)
• Activity accomplishment rate within the respective portfolio. No delay in project implementation more than 30 days
• Work plans submitted monthly by the 25th for the previous month.

Building Relationships

• Live among the people, endeavoring to witness to Christ through life.
• Build close and constructive relationships and actively learn within partner communities in order to understand their realities and facilitate development processes effectively.
• Communicate effectively World Vision’s identity, mission, vision, values and our approach to work in ways that are contextually appropriate and clear.
• Ensure that dialogue includes whole communities inclusive of their diversity.
• Undertake social networks analysis in order to understand the functions various stakeholders fulfil, power dynamics, potential for partnership and capacity building needs.
• Active participation of the stakeholder’s groups evidenced by contribution in resources (cash or in kind) in the project implementation and monitoring

Monitoring and Evaluation:

• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of community programs and initiatives.
• Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Team and Project Coordinator in data collection processes for project monitoring, evaluation and reports.
• Together with M&E Team utilize the monitoring system and tools of project implementation and to capture learning.

Actively support Evidence and Learning team during the data collection period

General Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in weekly chapel services and regular devotional meetings.
• Support in hosting the visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff from other.

• Assist in humanitarian emergency disaster management
• Participation in the chapel/devotion
• Successful donors/sponsors visit

Required Professional Experience

• Previous experience in community development, facilitation, or related roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, community development, public administration, or a related field

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and community development tools.
• Understanding of community development principles and practices.
