Overview

This online volunteer opportunity supports the Office’s growing communications and advocacy efforts by strengthening multilingual and digital outreach. By assisting with the adaptation, translation, and dissemination of communications content across digital platforms, the volunteer will help ensure that the Office’s messages on child protection and human rights are accessible, inclusive, and engaging for diverse global audiences.

Over the full assignment (12 weeks), each online volunteer will support one of the following tasks;

A) Digital Design & Visual Content - Adaptation of approximately 20–25 social media graphics or infographics over the assignment period, including campaign visuals, quote cards, banners, and simple infographics B) Website & Social Media Support - Support to update website content, including uploading translated text, images, and videos, and assisting with multilingual webpage management. - Assistance with scheduling and coordinating social media posts across platforms such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, averaging: - 2–3 scheduled posts per week, as needed.

C) Translation & Content Adaptation: - Translation and adaptation of approximately 18,000–22,000 words in total, including: - -Website content (webpages, articles, headings, captions) - -News articles and short advocacy pieces - -Selected sections of reports or campaign materials

This corresponds to an average of 1,500–1,800 words per week, depending on complexity and layout requirements.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Basic understanding of content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, or similar).
