Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Country Representative and with collaboration with the Deputy Representative and communications team, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

• Develop statements and/or talking points for selected programme areas;
• Develop opinion editorials, statements, talking points and social media handles for specific events;
• Undertake necessary research to generate a stock of articles;
• Translate speeches into advocacy products and presentations for specific audiences – policy makers, donors, partners and the mass media;
• Provide communication support commemoration to key calendar events including International Women’s Day, International Youth Day, 16 Days of Activism; etc

Experience remark

• Experience in advocacy and campaigns management;
• Good writing skills; experience in writing Op-eds, speeches, and articles;
• Knowledge of international development issues is required;
• Initiative and sound judgment; demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with persons of different cultural and national backgrounds.

Language skills

• English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
