Support LCM communications activities and strategy.
You have:
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communications, international relations, or a related field.
- Less than one year experience in coordinating and developing internal and external communications material for an intergovernmental organization.
- Experience coordinating and developing internal and external communications material for an organization.
- Experience with the design and implementation of communications strategies is desirable.
- Fluency in English (i.e. oral and written proficiency and excellent drafting skills) is required.
- Fluency in Spanish, French or another official UN language is desirable.

Result of Service
Outputs of activities listed in the section on "Duties and Responsibilities" should be delivered within the 5-month assignment period. - An LCM communications strategy is developed. - An LCM webpage is launched. - Regular communications are made on LCM activities on internal and external communications platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities
The individual contractor will be recruited for a 5-month period to support LCM communications activities. The work assignment will include the following tasks: – Design and implementation of an LCM communications strategy; – Support to LCM internal and external communications (webpage, social media, iseek); – Communication support on LCM outreach tools (video podcast, LCMOS); – Support to any other tasks, as required.
Qualifications/special skills
Education: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in communications, international relations, or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Less than one year experience in coordinating and developing internal and external communications material for an intergovernmental organization is required. Experience coordinating and developing internal and external communications material for an organization is required. Experience with the design and implementation of communications strategies is desirable. Experience with the design and management of an organization's webpage and social media is desirable. Previous experience working with the United Nations is desirable
Languages
English and French are the working language of the UN Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English (i.e. oral and written proficiency and excellent drafting skills) is required. Fluency in Spanish, French or another official UN language is desirable.
