You have:
- Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience.
- Four years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
- General knowledge of development and humanitarian programmes, and information management best practices.

- BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Manage WFP CAR operational information and communications activities and contribute to the presentation of WFP-CAR operations to internal and external audience. The consultant will work in the team in charge of Reporting, Communications, and Government Partnerships and will have responsibilities across these functions.
- ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Officer/Head of unit, the Consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
- Oversee the collation, drafting and dissemination of political and humanitarian analysis pertaining to WFP current or future responses and donor policies, trends, and preferences to ensure country specific input to WFP’s operational reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and update a work plan, which implements the corporate communications strategy, to maintain and enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP, and support fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with WFP strategy.
- Plan, manage and evaluate communications campaigns that favorably impact the views of the public, opinion leaders and donors to raise WFP’s profile and support fundraising activities.
- Define a social media plan for the assigned area which leverages social media content, platforms, networks, and partners to enhance coverage and support of WFP’s activities.
- Produce article and stories for publication.
- Work in collaboration with government Partnership Officer to ensure the flow of information and with other WFP units to align activities and ensure donor visisbility.
- Generate and/or facilitate the production of donor specific visibility content including, text, photos, videos, and audio for use across a range of integrated online platforms, to support global and country fundraising activities, ensuring consistency with corporate messages.
- Contribute to the preparation of partnership proposals, strategic agreements, joint strategies and/or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), considering corporate norms, processes, and external regulations; Ensure quality control of content by engaging with relevant functional units, Regional Bureaus and Country Offices.
- Prepare briefing documents for senior management level meetings with donors, and other strategic partners and high-level officials.
- Prepare donor specific reports and funding proposals for operations, with the guidance of the Government Partnerships Officer.

Education:

Experience:
Four years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.
Knowledge & Skills:
General knowledge of development and humanitarian programmes, and the collation of data and information, information management best practices, techniques, and processes.
Languages:
Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
