Dimensions of the Role

  • The post holder is responsible for implementing Plan International Tanzania’s programme support communications strategy, such as but not limited to assisting Project and Program Unit teams to prepare, implement, monitor communications and visibility/branding plans, gathering, documenting, archiving, packaging and sharing of critical information, best practices and learning both from within Plan International Tanzania and beyond.
  • Establishing and maintain tools, systems and database for information and learning at the Country, PIA and Programme Office levels
  • The job holder has no direct but will work with Thematic, Project and Program Implementation Area Communications focal points in discharging his/her duties
  • Support Country Office, Thematic, Project and Program Implementation Area, teams with media coordination
  • Support to ensure compliance of activities with project communication strategy by following donor guidelines
  • Participate in developing key messages for IEC materials in consultation with the Communications, Program, Project team and partners
  • Coordinate communication activities and events of the program, project and partners
  • Support the conducting awareness raising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops
  • Undertake field visits to support visitors or for collection of information to be used for documentation purposes (photography/Video/Audio)
  • Participate in donor visits for showcasing project progress and achievements
  • Document compelling Success stories, case studies and relevant project documents and suggest recommendations on varied issues (as and when required)
  • Maintain a documentation management system (hard copy and on network)
