Result of Service i. 15 Full audiograms (for podcasters and also YouTube and Instagram) ii. Mp3 Audio files iii. Graphic designs for promotion and timely cover photos (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, SoundCloud, UNOAU Website and UN Website dedicated to She Stands For Peace) iv. 15 episodes 30-second audiogram teasers for social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter) v. Administrative access to all selected streaming platforms to manage podcasts publishing vi. Monthly analytics report vii. Media support for wider outreach viii. End of assignment report (with a summary of analytics for 15 episodes and recommendations for way forward).

Expected duration 6 months

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Section Head of Public Information and working closely with the Gender Advisor, the consultant will be responsible for podcast production and management (Planning, recording and post-production). In this regard, the consultant will undertake the following responsibilities:

i. Prepare a detailed workplan for Season 4 with proposed speakers, themes and schedule for 15 episodes (10 English and 5 French). ii. Update and strengthen the existing visual assets (audiograms and accompanying visuals to promote each episode) iii. Conduct detailed research and prepare a synopsis for each episode with objective clearly mentioned. iv. Prepare guidance notes for guest speakers on the technical procedures to follow in preparation of the interview. v. Upload to target streaming platforms (such as Libsyn, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audibles, SoundCloud and Stitcher etc) including UNOAU’s Youtube. vi. Prepare monthly analytics report (M&E) vii. Prepare promotional package for each episode

Qualifications/special skills Masters’ degree in mass communications, journalism, gender, human rights, peace and security, social science or related subject. Minimum 7 years experience as reporter or producer in journalism, news or current affairs. Knowledge of Women, Peace and Security Agenda and gender issues with relevance to Africa Demonstrated podcast production or radio experience Excellent organizational skills and experience managing large projects Good communications skills and the ability to update senior colleagues clearly and succinctly on progress.
