Background

Afghanistan is facing one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Women and children are disproportionately affected.

Through its humanitarian funding, the European Union (EU) supports WFP in delivering life‑saving assistance to the most vulnerable communities. The EU and WFP are now embarking on a joint visibility campaign that aims to bring the realities of the crisis closer to European audiences while demonstrating the tangible impact of EU‑funded humanitarian action.
