Overview

Develop visuals and content for communication products and social media channels.

You have:

  • An advanced university degree (Master's or Doctorate degree, or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration or related fields is required.
  • A first-level degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, international relations, graphic design or related area is required.
  • Experience with developing graphic materials and visuals for websites, publications and/or social media platforms is required.
  • Experience with managing social media channels is required.
  • Experience with developing content in English and French or Spanish is required.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
  • Fluency of French or Spanish (both oral and written) is desirable.

Result of Service

Key Performance Indicators • Timely delivery of visuals, graphic materials, content and communication products in accordance with communication policies, procedures and plans. • Launch of automated translation service for UNJSPF website, subject to provision of relevant resources, or its predisposition. • Quality of input and products requiring minimum supervision and review. • Timely and regular provision of performance reports of UNJSPF online tools and external posts. • Annual and monthly reports are delivered to PA Public Information Officer with key communication data, metrics and findings. • Templates are consistent and staff are aware of where to find and how to use them. • UNJSPF Communications mailbox is maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties: • Develop visuals, graphic materials and content for the UNJSPF website, publications, intranet and social media channels. • Review and design new templates of the Fund – including letters, emails, reports, presentations, and forms, and ensure they are easily accessible and consistently used including through training on their usage and creation of digital repository. • Assist in creating key communication products for the UNJSPF through research and drafting of basic text in English and French or Spanish. • Support the templating and delivery of twelve booklets of pension matters in Spanish. • Monitor social media outlets on accounts and topics of interest to the Fund. • Monitor the success of website, intranet and social media posts based on analytics and review new tools and best practices in view of their implementation. • Support development of website’s automated translation service into UN official languages and layout updates working in collaboration with the Fund’s Information Management Systems Service and UNICC. • Initiate the development of annual communications report with key communication data, metrics and findings. • Manage the UNJSPF Communications mailbox. • Support the development of presentations and other communication materials for the Chief Executive as required. • Ensure document management of communication team’s archive. • Perform other duties as assigned.
