  • Ability to develop simple visual materials such as flyers, banners or digital invitations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt writing to WHO’s communication tone.
  • Interest in public health and child and adolescent health is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  • Prior experience with international organizations or communication roles is an advantage but not required.

Communication and visibility are essential components of the implementation of the Regional Strategy for Child and Adolescent Health and Well being. This assignment will help ensure that key activities, achievements, and regional processes, including work with national focal points, are visible and accessible to Member States, partners, and the broader public. The volunteer’s contribution will support WHO/Europe in strengthening awareness, engagement, and momentum across the Region, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes for children and adolescents.

We are looking for one Online Volunteer to support communication activities related to WHO/Europe’s work on Child and Adolescent Health and Well-being (CAHW). Under the guidance of the WHO Technical Officer for Child and Adolescent Health, the volunteer will help increase visibility of key actions, meetings, and initiatives through social media content and basic visual design. The Online Volunteer will be asked to: • Develop short social media posts (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) highlighting meetings, milestones, publications, initiatives and other relevant activities in CAHW. • Prepare simple, visually appealing flyers or banners to accompany invitations to meetings, webinars, and events. • Draft concise communication texts to summarize key updates and outcomes from regional activities. • Support the organization of communication materials in shared folders for easy use by the team. • Ensure that all materials follow WHO’s communication tone and visual identity (guidelines will be provided). Daily workflow & logistics: All tasks can be carried out remotely. The volunteer will collaborate with the WHO team through email and occasional virtual check ins. Tasks are flexible and can adapt to meeting dates and communication needs.
