You have:

  • Graduated from or enrolled in the senior year at an undergraduate degree program in communication, social, political, education, or development-related disciplines.
  • Experience in developing promotional materials, including but not limited to social media campaign posts or videos, posters, and email marketing.
  • Experience assisting with copy writing tasks such as drafting captions for social media post is a plus.
  • Experience in a support role within a communication or marketing team in their respective organizations is a plus.
  • Commit to the volunteer schedule, with flexibility for occasional meetings and deadlines.

The Skill Our Future initiative, co-led by UNDP and other partners, aims to create digital pathways for youth, enhancing their employability and empowering them to thrive as globally engaged citizens contributing to sustainable development locally and beyond. With a marked context focus on providing opportunities for youth from underserved communities, the programme equips young people with the necessary 21st-century and digital skills they need to prepare for the future of work. For the EmpowerU Incubation initiative, we seek support from 2 Online Volunteers, who under the guidance of the Youth Empowerment team will: - Support in the creation of engaging and fun content for Skill Our Future’s social media, specifically, Online Volunteers are expected to support the creation of two social media content per week. - Support in drafting human interest stories for EmpowerU participants.

The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with background information and material needed to support and implement the program. They will not be asked to participate in or conduct/implement the teaching/training and will not be requested to develop content themselves without the guidance of the Youth Empowerment team.
