You have:
- Bachelor's degree in communications and journalist related field.
- Interest in issues relating to developing world countries.

- Good presentation and communication skills (written and spoken) for a number of different audiences.
- Understanding of the country context and Civil Society Organization (CSO) space.

- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of photos and video taking.

- Myanmar (Speaking, typing).
- Translation (English to and from Myanmar).
- Some level of travel is expected.
- Telecommunicating is to be used in the situation of travel restriction.

Key Responsibilities:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a national communication strategy and annual business plan
- Lead the formulation of communications strategy, plan, guidelines and materials in line with GC/RO strategy adapting to Myanmar context
- Ensure the contribution to the RO and GC initiatives
Internal communication
- Serve as a consistent, creative and timely information source to the WV Partnership on key areas and issues of WVM ministry – development, relief and advocacy – and their specific programme sectors.
- Produce communication resources for WVM publications including Annual Report, capacity statements, face sheets and other WVM advocacy materials.
- Coordinate with PQDs and Operations for field visits/trainings/gather resources
- Prepare and updated staff on the changes happened in the organization as and when necessary, through change communication
Advocacy and Campaign Communication
- Lead team to collaborate with advocacy colleagues to define key issues, messaging, and communications channels for public advocacy initiatives.
- Coordinate with advocacy and campaign team to produce resources and messages for campaign implementation
- Lead team to support advocacy and campaigns by engaging the media to gain exposure and credibility and increase public discussion and fundraising.
HEA Communication
- Liaise with Operations, especially on Humanitarian and Emergency Response and Regional to provide updates, to the partnership immediately after an emergency occurred.
- Lead and supervise communicators (on-site and logistic) to provide and transmit timely materials for Support Office(s) to raise funds when necessary.
- Lead team to prepare media reactive lines upon requests from Support Offices and facilitate media interviews as needed
External Communications and Media relations (Traditional and social media)
- Participate in INGO forum Coms group to get update and learn
- To provide compelling communications content, through written materials and position WV Myanmar as a well-informed and responsive development and relief agency
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key local and international print, radio and TV media.
- Network, develop and maintain positive relationships with media and communications personnel in regional and support offices.
- Corporate spokesperson: Serve as a first media contact and facilitate for the media inquiry from local and international media to increase public awareness of WVM’s work.
- Lead team to assess and analyze risks on the propose social media platform
- Advise on matters with potential media interest
Executive Communications
- Work with senior management team and sector experts to promote leadership on social media platforms as well as in the partnership.
- Lead team to prepare agency’s presentation materials, speech to present at the external seminar/event for fund raising.
Crisis Management
- Keep the senior management staff informed on local and international news and trends that have an impact on the work of World Vision.
- Prepare Key message and Q & A for the spokesperson(s) of WV Myanmar, and to SO and the regional office especially on sensitive issues
- Lead comm staff to train project staff to collect coms resources to increase donor support.
- Provide and mentor comm staff in specific comm skills, such as media relations, storytelling, photography/videography, design, etc.
- Ensure the comm team provide professional and efficient support to WVM ministry and all stakeholders through good division of labor.
- Ensure good morale among comm staff and that they have good work/life balance.
