Manage digital communication and develop engaging content for stakeholders.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in social media management.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital content writing.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in online community engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Facebook pages or digital platforms.
  • Strong writing skills in English (Khmer proficiency desirable).
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics tools.
  • Experience in email marketing platforms.
  • Proficiency in Meta Business Suite (or similar scheduling tools).
  • Understanding of engagement metrics.
  • Understanding of algorithm basics and social media best practices.

Role Purpose

The Communication, Digital & Content Assistant manages Save the Children Cambodia’s digital communication channels and supports the development of engaging content that strengthens brand visibility, campaign reach, product marketing, and stakeholder engagement. The role ensures disciplined digital publishing, consistency of tone and messaging, alignment with SCI global brand guidelines, and responsible online community engagement.

Under the supervision of the Communications & Media Officer, the post holder executes digital communication plans, maintains content calendars, monitors performance metrics, and escalates sensitive issues as required.

The role does not define marketing strategy, approve final messaging, or independently manage reputational crises.

The role also contributes to communication and visibility activities for the Growing Transformative Horticulture (GROWTH) project, ensuring compliance with donor visibility requirements and effective communication of project results.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
    • Social media management
    • Digital content writing
    • Online community engagement
  • Demonstrated experience managing Facebook pages or digital platforms.
  • Strong writing skills in English (Khmer proficiency desirable).

Desirable

  • Experience in an NGO, private, or development sector.
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics tools.
  • Experience in email marketing platforms.

Experience and Skills:

Proficiency in:

  • Meta Business Suite (or similar scheduling tools)
  • Basic analytics dashboards
  • Content calendar management tools
  • Website CMS (WordPress or similar)

Understanding of:

  • Engagement metrics
  • Algorithm basics
  • Social media best practices
  • Brand tone and voice guidelines
  • Basic image editing skills (Canva or similar tools).

Contract length: Fixed Duration Contract (FDC).
