Under the guidance of Digital Communication Officer, the Digital Communication Associate will support the design, management, maintenance, implementation and continuous improvement of UNICEF Türkiye’s digital plan to maximize UNICEF Türkiye’s online presence and engagement.

How can you make a difference?

Summary of key functions:

  • Contribute to the development of UNICEF Türkiye’s online strategy, with specific emphasis on developing content, gathering on and offline supporters and creating reach and engagement around advocacy priorities and issues affecting children and young people in Türkiye.
  • Proactively write and gather editorial content (text, images, audio, video, etc.) working across UNICEF programme sections and field offices and adapt for web and social media
  • Prepare and publish content to website and social media accounts (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok)
  • Manage Country Office website through web-based content management system and work to continuously improve site’s design; ensure key deadlines are met for the dissemination of time-sensitive content
  • Generate and analyze reports on social media and web traffic using HootSuite and Google Analytics and other social media focused analytics channels
  • Ensure daily and weekly social media listening and reporting
  • Assist in coordinating and developing digital partnerships
  • Conduct trainings and provide support to other sections in need of understanding better how digital and social media plays a role in the context of the Office.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the communication.

Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required.

Language Requirements: Fluency in Turkish and English.

  • Active on social media (creates and posts engaging content for self or others on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and adept at using social media listening and measurement tools (Hootsuite, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Instagram Analytics) being considered as an asset
