How can you make a difference?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Communication Materials

  • Ensure timely production of various communication content for UNICEF Ukraine social media channels.
  • Schedule, proofread and check social media and digital content for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the planning, development, and implementation of dynamic, interactive and meaningful social media content strategies for campaigns and daily community management on UNICEF’s global social media.
  • Produce and schedule social media packs, crafting engaging content from key messages.

Management of Social Media Platforms

  • Support in digital and social media editorial planning and processes with relevant colleagues working in the areas of digital marketing, influencer engagement and management of UNICEF Ukraine social media channels.
  • Support Communication and SBC teams on the day-to-day social media efforts.
  • Review and post content per the agreed advocacy and communication calendar of events for the Country Office and Global HQ to expand UNICEF’s voice for children.
  • Perform other digital communication and content duties as required and agreed upon with supervisor.

Community management

  • Create and stimulate worthy conversations with the targeted community to support and strengthen UNICEF’s communication strategy
  • Ensure that UNICEF media channels are regularly moderated, inform and engage key stakeholders, including children and youth on issues that affect them.
  • Ensure regular and quality content on social media platforms and liaise with communication team on work progress

    Financial and administrative support

  • Organize data and information, maintains records, files and work plans for the monitoring of project/programme implementation related to management of digital platforms

  • Assist in the financial (i.e. VISION processing) and administrative processes for the Communication including preparation of contracts, procurement requests, PCAs, processing payments

Monitoring and evaluation

  • Assist in digital data collection and analysis in line with KPIs outlined in the communication strategy
  • Assist with the monitoring and community management of social media channels, flagging risk and opportunities to deepen engagement, including some out of hours/weekend shifts and during emergencies.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A high school degree is required. Professional courses are desired in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in digital communications, social media management, content creation and/or other related communication fields
  • Experience in national or international NGO/UN system will be and asset
  • Understanding of development and humanitarian work.
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian
