UNICEF was founded in 1946 as an emergency fund to support the most vulnerable children. Today, it works on the ground in 190 countries and territories to promote children's survival, protection and development. The world's largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education for all boys and girls, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS. UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments. UNICEF is working to scale up essential services for adolescent and young people – to deliver on their rights to livelihood, health, education, protection, and other essential services, but also to help make their voices heard, reduce their involvement in risky behaviors and conflict and ensure they do not lose hope. As an active UNICEF team member, the UNV Content Creator is responsible for creating and localizing multimedia content as part of the local and global digital strategy. Specifically, the UNV will produce a variety of compelling shorts/reels, illustrations, infographics, GIFs, photos, and other assets for programmatic activities, public and private partnerships, events, donors, global and local milestones, and UN days for public dissemination on different social media channels. The UNV will also coordinate in the design and implementation phases. The candidate is expected to update team members with the latest trends and innovations in the development field and support digital team with content-related tasks as needed. In addition to duty station specific vaccine requirements, appointments are subject to confirmation of fully vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the appointment. It does not apply to UN Volunteers who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their contracts. Under the supervision of Digital Communication Officer, the UNV Communication Associate (Content Creator) will: • Assist with create creative, and highly engaging multimedia content in alignment with the social media Editorial Calendar and the global and local digital strategy to grow UNICEF Lebanon’s social media channels. • Develop storylines and scripts for videos, subtitles, shoot videos/b-rolls/take photos, and complete postproduction processes. • Assist in developing creative themes and directions for social media campaigns. • Adapt global campaigns social media assets to the local context. • Collect content from field visits and live coverages including photos, and videos. • Assist in producing concept notes and briefings for content creation and social media activations. • Assist in coordinating with graphic designers, video editors, photographers, and other content implementers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and alignment with UNICEF digital guidelines. • Assist with coordination with relevant staff (e.g., programmes, HR, etc) to effectively plan and produce content. • Archive content systematically, including descriptions, titles, tags, and metadata. • Work with the digital team to understand performance and growth metrics and adjust creative content to optimize posts. • Explore innovative tools for content creation and update the team regularly with new trends and potentials to strengthen UNICEF’s digital presence. • Provide support with graphic design tasks, including layout, photography, and design assignments. • Ensure content clearance with the Digital Communications Officer. • Develop text content for individual posts and captions in English and Arabic. • Community management/moderation, social media/scheduling, website, and digital advertising support upon need. • Assist in any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

communication, social media, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Audiovisual, or any other Social Media fields. • At least 3 years of professional work experience in creating digital content for various channels (including social media and/ or websites) and handling different social media platforms, including community management.
• Knowledge in one or more graphic design tools Adobe Creative suite; Premiere, Final Cut, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom, AI tools, Canva, and video editing tools and applications, is mandatory. • Proficiency in video production, editing, and graphic design. • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Ability to deliver within strict deadlines. • Familiarity with Analytics tools Hootsuite, Crowd tangle is desirable. • Professional experience with content management systems and websites content management is desirable.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in Beirut, Lebanon. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.

National UN Specialist Volunteers in Lebanon are entitled to:
