**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : Communication and Information Sector (CI) Duty Station: Luanda Job Family: Communication and Information Type of contract : Non Staff Duration of contract : From 1 to 6 months Recruitment open to : Internal and external candidates Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : 27 MARS 2022 UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism **OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST** ----------------------------------------- Under the supervision of the International Coordinator of the Biennale of Luanda, the consultant will ensure good communication and visibility for the follow-up of the [Biennale of Luanda — Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace](https://www.unesco.org/biennaleluanda/2021/en). In close collaboration with UNESCO communication experts in the Central Africa region, and all DPI colleagues, the consultant will: Long Description ---------------- ***General***: - Develop a digital communication plan related to the follow up of Biennale of Luanda and related events, including for the bi-montly newsletter, social media and the website. The communication plan must be adaptable to different interlocutors (sponsors, FO, UN agencies); - Produce a monthly communication report containing analytics of the web site, social media and the newsletter; - Liaise with the communication counterparts from the African Union and the Angolan Government for all matters related to the communication on social media, and with the communication officers from the potential partners’ institutions of the Biennale; - Participate in relevant strategic meetings for enhancement of the Biennale on UNESCO and related events’s social media and web outreach; - Follow up with the official sponsors of the Biennale for all the elements related to communication (e.g. logos, etc.); - Identify personalities such as “influencers” in order to promote the event on social networks; - Participate in the production of scripts/interviews for influences in French and English. Long Description ---------------- ***Newsletter***: - In collaboration with the Biennale team, be responsible for the programming, production and distribution of the bi-monthly newsletter “Voices of the Biennale” – produced in ENG, FR and PT, distributed via UNESCO mailchimp and published in the Biennale web site; - Liaise with the authors who contribute to the newsletter; - Participate in the production of scripts/interviews for the newsletter in French and English; - Whenever needed, write and edit the newsletter’ articles in French and English. ***Web site***: - Create content for the Biennale website (key messages, texts to illustrate sections) to update the English and French versions of the site; - Carry out daily monitoring of the website dedicated to the Biennale of Luanda and propose content (feeding it with relevant information, videos, interviews, articles, photographs, etc.) in English and French. Long Description ---------------- ***Social Media***: - Develop a social media pack in line with the digital communication plan above-mentioned.
