Contract
This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.
We work with and for young people to make their voices heard, and we work with partners–from the community to the national level–to create solutions that propel children and young people into the future. UNICEF Cambodia is looking for a Cambodian UNV to join our communication team. This work focuses on social media reach and engagement, aiming to reach more young people with the information they need to bring positive change in their lives and communities.
Under the direct supervision of the Social Media Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
- Support UNICEF social media team by drafting messages and plans for different social media channels.
- Work with the social media team to develop engaging and creative content that speaks to young audiences in Cambodia.
- Under the guidance of the Social Media Specialist, draft weekly social media plans, including crafting messages, stories, photos, graphic cards, contests, audio, video, infographics, etc.
- Maintain a weekly updated social media calendar and content plans related to specific campaigns.
- Actively engage with online audiences through social media channels; respond timely to messages and comments.
- Maintain a database on Cambodia's relevant youth organizations, youth groups, and social media influencers.
- Support the Communication team in other imports activities as needed.

12 months' contract, monthly volunteer living allowance (VLA) intended to cover housing, basic needs and utilities, equivalent to US$ 706.50; settling-in-grant, moving and travel costs (if applicable i.e. in the case the place of recruitment is different from the duty station); life, health, and permanent disability insurance; and exit allowance for satisfactory service.
