Role Summary
Commercial Analyst Job Description
Support the Finance team with assessing the commercial value of opportunities, develop costings and preparing commercial proposals. You will also support with management of the commercial pipeline through monthly income forecasting as well as developing tools and analysis to support the work of the commercial team.
Day to Day Tasks
- Assist with qualifying leads by developing Rough Order of Magnitude estimates
- Develop project budgets and definitive estimates
- Prepare detailed bid/tender costings
- Where a sub contractor, negotiate with partners to receive acceptable pricing structures.
- Write commercial response and financial methodology for commercial proposals
- Assist with the revision of costings and commercial proposals during contract negotiation process
- Actively participate as member of ‘proposal’ teams to the development of compelling, commercially sound responses to client tenders/foundation responses.
- Contribute to the development and review of commercial processes.
- Work with stakeholders in the business to train and educate on updated commercial processes.
- Assist with management of the commercial pipeline with wider stakeholders within the business.
- Support the monthly income forecasting process.
