Provide speed typing and closed captioning for the ECOSOC Youth Forum.
You have:
- Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English
- Familiarity with different Asian accents
- Experience of speed typing or close captioning simultaneously during the speaker's intervention
- Familiarity with zoom and other online meeting technology
- Stable internet access is required

UN partners, MGCY and youth partners are planning the Asia-Pacific Session for the ECOSOC Youth Forum on April 8. The overall ECOSOC Forum info can be found here: https://www.un.org/ecosoc/en/content/ecosoc-youth-forum-2021 To ensure accessibility of the session, we are looking for 2 Online Volunteers who can provide speed typing/live closed captioning during the event. The Online Volunteer will need to be available for 1 technical test run before the session on April 5-6, 2021 and the actual event on April 8 from 18:30 to 20:30 (Bangkok time).

The Asia-Pacific session of the ECOSOC Youth Forum will take place on April 8 at 19:00-20:30 (Bangkok time) and is aimed at gathering inputs on how innovative youth action plays an essential role in promoting a culture of solidarity and leading actions in communities in responding to COVID-19 and building back more inclusive societies in the post COVID-19 period. We will also explore the need to strengthen knowledge transfer, e-learning and the importance of practical guides and resources developed by and with youth in supporting effective action and to enable more young people to access opportunities to participate, build skills and strengthen youth-led action to build back better in the post-COVID era. The event will be on held through zoom and broadcasted through UN Web TV.
Volunteers: 2 needed
1-5 hours per week / 1 weeks
