Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide clinical interview and assessment within UNRWA health centers and recommendations • Provide psychological support, psycho education (for the beneficiary and his/her care givers) and refer internally and externally as needed. • In collaboration with social workers and/or nurses, conduct awareness sessions to the community, regarding mental health and psychological issues. • Conduct awareness sessions for staff, when asked, regarding mental health and psychological issues. • Coordinate with the staff of UNRWA (nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, social workers, and school counselors when needed) for a better case management. • Conduct clinical assessment for special need cases and refer to specialist • Support the PHC on the implementation of the mhGAP-IG training, when applicable. • Report to the senior mental health advisor with whom coordination and meetings will take place to ensure the harmony of the work in different areas. • Maintain a database of counseled beneficiaries and awareness sessions and manage reporting as required by the Project Manager. • Attend team meetings in LFO. • Report administratively to respective area health officer. • Respect beneficiary confidentiality and address needs and requests in a professional way • Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others • Performs such other duties as may be assigned."
Qualifications/special skills
A master's degree in clinical psychology, psychotherapy or related discipline including at least 300 hours of clinical practice on psychological interventions. Desirable: having colloquium / license to practice clinical psychology, if applicable At least five years of relevant experience in providing psychological services including: conducting specialized assessment and developing therapeutic care plans, delivery of evidence-based psychological or psychotherapeutic interventions (for example, cognitive behavioral therapy, others), is required.

Acts in accordance with the profession's ethics and values; respects and promotes individual and cultural differences; and adheres to key principles including confidentiality and do no harm Desirable Qualification: 1.Experience in training and supervising other specialized or non-specialized staff on the assessment and management of mental health and psychosocial problems and/or the delivery of psychosocial interventions 2. Obtaining at least 100 hours of clinical supervision 3. Familiarity with PFA, MH GAP, and other global MHPSS packages and interventions 4. Experience in working with humanitarian organizations including refugee settings/ camps 5. Able to use basic computer skills Total Remuneration: USD 162 per day
