You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Environmental Sciences, Management, Political Sciences, Economical Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Engineering or related area of study is required.
- Post graduation course or Master or Doctorate Degree in Public Administration, International Relations, Energy Policy, Environmental Sciences, Management, Political Sciences, Economical Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Engineering or related area of study is required.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree should have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience in the field of sustainable development, climate change policy development, energy policy/transition or environmental management.
- Candidates with both Bachelor’s and Post graduation course or Master’s degree or Doctorate Degree should have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in the field of sustainable development, climate change policy development, energy policy/transition or environmental management.
- Demonstrated expertise in energy transition, and transition finance risks.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Experience with public finance and financial-related risks.
- Technical expertise working with multi-stakeholder processes in sustainable development and global commitments is desirable.
- Experience in working with the UN System and at international level is desirable.
- Experience with Brazil’s public sector institutions.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Result of Service
Strategic advisory and policy support, including overseeing UNICAMP’s research on city-level fiscal vulnerability to oil and gas royalties, guiding economic impact analyses and case study selection, and ensuring alignment of energy transition pathways with national policies such as Plano Clima. Ultimate result of service includes leading capacity-building initiatives for government and stakeholders, facilitating city-level stakeholder engagement, ensuring internal coordination across relevant programs, and managing the implementation and coordination of the Brazil-BOGA fund program with UNEP and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the UNEP Brazil Representative and in close coordination with Ministry Of Environment and Climate Change Team and the Ministry of Finance, the Climate Policy and Energy Transition Advisor is responsible for supporting the relationship with national stakeholders, governmental and non-governmental organizations and to provide support to research and analysis, policy convening and stakeholder engagement, as well as project coordination on transition pathways for cities that are highly depend on oil and gas for revenues.
Qualifications/special skills
