OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The objective of the function is to support the organization in managing inventory covering assets, consumables and vehicle spare parts

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Assist in office asset inventoryfor WHO Liaison Office, LagosEnsure proper update of office assets in each office and ensure reports are sent tozone and WCOReceive stationery, issue and maintain stock control cards for all consumablesReceive goods in store and arrange for inspection by technical officersReceive vehicle spare parts from overseas, WCO and zoneIssue and update stock card and send reportRaise goods inward note for goods received and (or) goods outward note for goodstransferred out of storeCollate,inspect and move obsolete assets from individual offices for disposalReceive mails for staff register, and forward to concernedSend mails received to staff across SWZ office and collect mails from the postofficePerform other duties assignedby supervisorsThe incumbent now handles: vehicle spare parts store inventory of assets WHO procured/donated materials imported through Lagos airport and sea port receives and dispatches mailsEnsuring inventory records are up to date Ensuring proper storage of vehicle spare partsEnsuring proper arrangement of items for easy identification

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Work requires completion of secondary school.Knowledge of general administrative and HR Policy theory and procedures Desirable: Training in UN/HR systems is an advantage.Proven skills in drafting and editing required

Experience

Essential: 5 years of relevant administrative experience Desirable: Relevant experience in the WHO or other UN agency is an asset. Experience in Oracle-based or other ERP systems an asset

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at NGN 5,432,489 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
