Org. Setting and Reporting This post is located in the Medical Insurance Section, Financial Resources Management Service, Division of Administration of the United Nations Office at Geneva. The incumbent reports to the Administrative and Benefits Officer of the Medical Insurance Section.

Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Administrative and Benefits Officer of the Medical Insurance Section, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

- Checks medical insurance claims : prior authorizations, relevant documentation, request additional information; - Undertakes actions related to the reimbursement process : verifies and validates bills, applies reimbursement codes, validates reimbursement in the application used within the Section; - Assists as required to the daily opening of the mail and to the filling of documents; - Assists as required in responding to demands of insured/clients on the reimbursement rules and procedures to respect and provides relevant information related to claims; - Performs other tasks that the supervisor has assigned.

Education High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Experience At least three (3) years of experience in administration or related field is required.

Out of these, two (2) years of experience within the UN Common System is desirable.

Experience in international group health insurance is desirable.

Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English or French and knowledge of the other is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.

Special Notice The initial contract is for one year with possibility of extension. The duration of appointment is subject to the availability of funds.
