You have:
- Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.
- University degree (bachelor’s level) in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian, development, or NGO settings.
- Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online collaboration platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in administration, project support, coordination support, information management, or related functions.
- Basic understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and the NGO sector in Cameroon.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in either English or French.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and maintain confidentiality.

To ensure the continuity of its humanitarian activities in Cameroon, the CHINGO platform, hosted by NRC Cameroon, is recruiting an INGO Forum Assistant based in Yaoundé.
Qualifications
A- Generic professional competencies
- Previous experience in administration, project support, coordination support, information management, or related functions.
- Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Experience organizing meetings, workshops, or events.
- Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online collaboration platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal.
- Good networking skills.
B- Context related skills, knowledge and experience
- University degree (bachelor’s level) in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian, development, or NGO settings.
- Basic understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and the NGO sector in Cameroon.
- Experience supporting reporting, information management, or coordination activities is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in either English or French.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and maintain confidentiality.

We offer:
- 06 monthS work contract renewable subject to availability of funds.
- Workplace: Yaoundé with 30% travel in the field.
- Salary/Benefits: Grade 4 step 1 of the NRC Cameroon salary scale.

Responsibilities
- Generic Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of CHINGO activities in accordance with established workplans and objectives.
- Contribute to the collection, compilation, and organization of information required for coordination, advocacy, and reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, mailing lists, and filing systems.
- Support monitoring and reporting on CHINGO activities and outputs.
- Assist in identifying operational challenges and propose practical solutions to improve implementation.
- Maintain regular communication with CHINGO members and relevant stakeholders.
- Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
B- Specific responsibilities:
- Support coordination and member engagement activities, including the organization of meetings, workshops, consultations, and follow-up on agreed action points.
- Manage information and reporting processes by compiling data from members and stakeholders, maintaining databases, and supporting the production of reports, updates, and information products.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing among CHINGO members and external stakeholders, while supporting outreach, visibility, and member services.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for CHINGO operations, including travel arrangements, procurement processes, event logistics, record keeping, and expenditure tracking.
- Support field engagement and operational monitoring through participation in field visits, collection of contextual information, documentation of lessons learned, and preparation of field reports and follow-up actions.
