You have:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Social Science, Human Rights, Psychology or other relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in the field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the NGO sector or other international organizations.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven working experience in projects.
  • Prior experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian principles and protection framework.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Suite and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have the possibility and capacity to travel to the targeted districts in Moldova.
  • Experience in multicultural settings and working with vulnerable populations.
  • Skills in managing logistics for resource distribution.
  • Languages – English/Romanian/Russian - Fluent in all aspects.

Position overview:

The Child Protection Project Manager oversees the full project cycle, from needs assessment to implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and real-time adaptation. They ensure project goals and contractual obligations are met, while promoting accountability to affected populations in line with humanitarian standards. Working closely with the project team and leadership, the PM upholds organizational policies and is responsible for effective project delivery and reporting within the Country Programme.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Leads project design and proposal development, including needs assessments, partner identification, and log frame creation aligned with strategy and donor guidelines.

· Ensures effective project planning and implementation, aligning with donor contracts and internal procedures.

· Manages coordination mechanisms across departments, HQ, partners, and leads regular project review meetings.

· Ensures high technical quality of child protection and case management activities, adhering to international standards and best practices.

· Mainstreams cross-cutting themes such as gender, protection, and environment across all project components.

· Oversees Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), ensuring effective feedback mechanisms, indicator tracking, and evaluations.

· Ensures functioning Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) and integrates findings into project improvements.

· Manages and supports the project team, including recruitment, performance management, capacity building, and mentorship.

· Handles day-to-day HR tasks, such as time management, leave approval, and disciplinary procedures.

· Oversees project financial management, including budgeting, spending forecasts, and documentation approvals.

· Coordinates logistics and procurement, ensuring compliance with internal and donor-specific procurement rules.

· Ensures administrative compliance, document management, and adherence to financial and reporting standards.

· Leads reporting processes, including donor reports and partner report reviews to ensure quality.

· Ensures proper communication, visibility, and media presence, in line with donor and organizational policies.

· Supports advocacy planning and implementation, when relevant to the project scope.
