You have:
- Advanced university degree or higher degree in marketing, business administration, management, marketing, fundraising or other fields.
- At least 10 years of relevant and progressively responsible professional work experience in private sector fundraising, including individual giving.
- Knowledge and experience of working in Asia, especially the South Asian context, is an advantage.
- Experience of working in an international organization, ideally a UNICEF Country Office, is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
- UNICEF's values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust, and Accountability (CRITA) must be demonstrated.
Contract

How can you make a difference?
The Chief (South Asia Income Hub) supports ROSA and its Country Offices with strategies, operations and actions towards generating income from the private sector,manages the Income Hub, as well as its personnel, and explores opportunities with the private sector channels to raise funds for programmes across South Asia
The duties of the Chief, South Asia Income Hub include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage the Income Hub in accordance with UNICEF policy guidelines and financial regulations, as well as the High Value Manager, Fundraising Leadership Programme Coordinator, and consultancies and other supporting staff contributing to the Hub’s objectives.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements (Quarterly Financial Scorecard and Annual Revenue & Expenses Reports, etc.). - Liaise with and coordinate with PFP and the RSC. - Ensure effective engagement and coordination with all relevant Country Office staff. - Collaborate with the PFP digital fundraising hub to test it with Bangladesh and explore opportunities for the region. - Diversify Individual Giving streams through testing and piloting non-digital and other forms. - Manage the Islamic Giving effort to develop Zakat compliance and fundraising opportunities for select South Asia countries. - Work closely with the Leadership Programme Coordinator on fundraising strategies to maximize income for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and rapid onset emergencies. - Evaluate the performance of the Income Hub, leverage lessons learned, and ensure the financial viability of the Income Hub, including through grant management and other forms.
Support the Regional Director and relevant Country Representatives in South Asia by working with them directly to provide advice and logistical support with partnership strategy and engagement to help Country Offices raise local and regional funds.
- Advise the Regional Director on what’s needed to fully leverage PSFR potential in South Asia and further develop or fine-tune the Income Hub. - Advise Country Office Representatives and work with local staff who are exploring local private sector fundraising opportunities, to get ready for fundraising, including by joining meetings with potential partners, advising of strategy, undertaking research, working with - Communications to obtain the necessary assets, etc. - Ensure due diligence is adhered to for all PSFR engagements. - Trainings for Country Office Staff and other efforts to build Country Office capacity.
Explore opportunities with private sector channels (Zakat giving and digital fundraising, etc.) to raise funds for programmes across South Asia.
- Undertake market assessments to identify and explore new market opportunities. - Create and execute specialized efforts, such as Zakat giving, digital fundraising and more, to generate funds for South Asia.
