Supply Chain support is a key to the success and delivery of quality programs. IRC defines Supply Chain as those systems and support functions necessary to implement programs and meet business unit objectives effectively, inclusive of planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, asset management and fleet management. The CGSCO, in close collaboration with senior leaders across the organization will focus on developing and supporting a high standard of Supply Chain support to IRC’s mission.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop cross-functional, systematic, procurement, inventory and asset management controls using global policies, procedures, systems and training. Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of global monitoring and oversight mechanisms and addressing gaps

• Co-lead the deployment of Integra and lead all required actions as part of a comprehensive strategy to improve the operational use and benefits of Integra

• Develop a data and metric focused operations culture for improved decision making and effective monitoring of operational practices to assess project delivery success and the effectiveness of controls

• Drive “tone from the top” to ensure IRC leadership actively supports fraud prevention, the need for staff, partners and suppliers to meet IRC ethical requirements and the requirement to achieve “value for money” across IRC spend

• Collaborate with senior Crisis Response, Recovery & Development (CRRD), Resettlement, Asylum & Integration (RAI) and Headquarter (HQ) leadership to agree on multi-year strategic priorities to support both IRC’s Strategic Plan (S100)and their unique departmental objectives

• In collaboration with the Health Unit and CRRD, ensure food and medical supply chains are designed and managed end-to-end according to GDP and WHO quality standards. Ensure multi-disciplined supply chain and Health Unit teams develop and implement cross-functional strategies to assure quality supply from supplier to client including temperature controlled, cold chain goods, and proper shelf-life management

• Lead innovation with IRC’s Awards Management Unit (AMU) Business Development to develop external funding sources to address infrastructure and other operational gaps

• Prioritize team professional and leadership development tailored to individuals’ development plans including a focus on women’s professional development to support a gender equitable leadership team

• Actively lead and support diverse hiring and leadership development to build a diverse, gender balanced team

• In collaboration with the Emergencies and Humanitarian Action Unit (EHAU), responsible for ensuring IRC has appropriate strategies for response staff support and supply chain solutions to support rapid emergency responses at scale

• Lead the development of NetZero climate mitigation strategies and plans which account for all IRC operations globally to meet environmental sustainability commitments

Position directly supervises: RAI-US GSC Director, Global Procurement Sr Director, CRRD GSC Operations Sr. Director, Director Risk and Compliance, Project Director, Sustaining Advisors x5

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: Senior Leaders Group

External: suppliers, partners (e.g. UN Logs Cluster, IAPG, Fleet Forum)

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience with demonstrated success as a Supply Chain leader across all fields within supply chain including planning, procurement and logistics

• Experience developing and managing effective procurement controls systems

• Expertise in managing food and medical (including cold-chain) grade supply chain networks

• Knowledge and experience in delivering Cash programming

• Experience leading teams remotely

• Effectively manages ambiguity.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, and team building experience

• Board Level presentation skills, negotiation and relationship skills

• Strong collaborator and influencer! Shows effective interpersonal and analytical skills and able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units

• Able to work effectively in a highly matrixed structure

Working Environment:

Standard office work environment. Travel less than 10%.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
