Support the CCAC's governance work and event organization.

You have:

  • A first-level university degree in international relations, climate change, environmental policy or sustainability.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing briefings and presentations is required.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) is required. Additional knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.

The CCAC Secretariat is seeking a “Junior Programme Manager” to support the Coalition’s governance work, including assistance to the CCAC Board and Funding Committee, preparation of donor reports, and the organization of governance-related events such as Board meetings, Ministerial meetings, and participation at major forums including COPs.

Duties and Responsibilities

The UNEP-convened Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society. The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the Secretariat at the Economy Division in Paris. More information about the CCAC is here: www.ccacoalition.org The CCAC Secretariat is seeking a “Junior Programme Manager” to support the Coalition’s governance work, including assistance to the CCAC Board and Funding Committee, preparation of donor reports, and the organization of governance-related events such as Board meetings, Ministerial meetings, and participation at major forums including COPs. Outputs: 1. Support the delivery of CCAC governance processes in support of the Board and Funding Committee 2. Assist in the planning and organization of governance related events 3. Contribute to the timely preparation and submission of donor reports 4. Maintain and update tracking tools and contact database related to CCAC governance stakeholders 5. Prepare high quality draft documents including agendas and meeting summaries 6. Provide ad hoc coordination and logistical support for governance and engagement
