DRC Syria

DRC has been actively operating in Syria since 2008 mainly supporting refugees. In June 2012, DRC was authorized by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to expand its humanitarian efforts and provide assistance to IDPs and the vulnerable resident population countrywide. Since then, DRC activities have been focused on NFI distributions, Shelter, WASH, Protection, Education, Livelihoods and Mine Risk Education in six Governorates (Damascus, Rural Damascus, Dara'a, Aleppo, Hama, and Homs). While Protection/community service activities are provided to beneficiaries throughout our Community Centers.

About the job:

To provide support for the Supply Chain department in updating the supplier database.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with DRC suppliers to re-assess their scope of business, and focal persons and update the supplier database accordingly.
  • Follow-up with non-registered or non-active suppliers in DRC ERP system to be re-activated.
  • Register suppliers by making sure the needed documentation and company profiles are received from the contacted suppliers.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in administrative tasks, including filing systems.
  • Good IT skills, mainly Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • NGO experience is desirable.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both English & Arabic.
