You have:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector.

- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal, is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the Sudan humanitarian context, particularly displacement dynamics and North Darfur’s market and economic environment is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in cash transfer programming and market-based approaches.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong technical expertise in Cash and Markets programming, including cash transfers, vouchers, group cash transfers, market assessments, partner coordination, and compliance with CVA standards.
- Proven ability to deliver documented results related to cash-based assistance, including beneficiary targeting, distribution management, monitoring, reporting, accountability mechanisms, and quality assurance in line with donor and organizational requiremes.

Responsibilities
Role and responsibilities:
This dynamic position will serve as a key member of NRC’s growing implementation in North Darfur, with a specific focus on Cash and Markets (C&M) programming. The primary role of the Cash and Markets Coordinator is to support the development and implementation of NRC’s emergency cash- based interventions, including cash and voucher assistance, to support displaced and vulnerable populations in North Darfur. The Cash and Markets Coordinator will support all stages of Cash and Markets activities, including cash and voucher distributions and other market-based interventions. The role also includes follow-up and monitoring of Cash Group Transfers (CGTs), coordination of partnership agreements and activities, supervision and management of two staff members, and carrying out other tasks as required by the NRC line manager.
Generic responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with NRC and donor project methodologies, tools, handbooks, guidelines, and standards relevant to Cash and Markets programming.
Responsible for the supervision and implementation of Cash and Markets activities in NRC- targeted areas in North Darfur.
- Ensure adequate project planning, including operational planning, assessments, beneficiary targeting, cash or voucher distributions, and follow-up activities.
- Track and monitor financial expenditures related to Cash and Markets activities.
- Responsible for quality control and monitoring of project activities, including beneficiary data and project reports, in coordination with the IMO Officer and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) department.
- Responsible for proper project documentation related to Cash and Markets activities and project data management.
- Manage partnerships related to Cash and Markets interventions, ensuring alignment with NRC standards and project objectives.
- Provide specific technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination and technical forums related to cash-based and market interventions.
- Manage, support, and provide capacity building to project staff on Cash and Markets technical approaches.
- Assess, promote, and document ideas for technical improvement and further Cash and Markets program development.
Ensure that projects target the most vulnerable and in-need beneficiaries, and continuously explore and assess improved and innovative ways to deliver cash-based assistance.
Specific responsibilities:
- Provide technical support, supervision, and coordination to NRC field officers and local partner teams during the implementation of Cash and Markets activities, including cash and voucher assistance, market-based interventions, and partnership follow-up, ensuring full compliance with Cash and Voucher Assistance SOPs
Develop timely and detailed monthly implementation plans for cash and market activities in close coordination with the program teams and support departments.
- Ensure that all assessments, beneficiary targeting, and cash or voucher distributions are conducted in accordance with approved minimum standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Coordinate GCTs and collaborate with Emergency Response Rooms to support the distribution of minimum grants and flexible funds.
- Assist in identifying, establishing, and managing partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including Emergency Response Rooms, local NGOs, and government agencies, ensuring proper follow-up of partnership methodologies and activities.
- Liaise with other NRC core competency teams to ensure a coherent and integrated programmatic approach.
In coordination with NRC’s MEL department, support donor reporting related to Cash and
- Markets project activities.
- Support the Monitoring and Evaluation team in conducting baseline assessments, post- distribution monitoring (PDM), and relevant analytical activities, and ensure accountability of small groups and community-based organizations supported through GCTs.
Contribute to the development of concept notes and proposals focused on Cash and Markets programming and support the preparation of activity and donor reports.
- Coordinate with relevant humanitarian and government actors, including national and state- level clusters, working groups, and consortia related to cash-based and market interventions.
- Document lessons learned, capture success stories from Cash and Markets programming, and collect high-quality photographs for reporting and visibility purposes.
- Lead on stakeholder sensitization and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders in the respective geographic areas.
- Ensure adequate and safe records of all project deliveries (cash, vouchers, in-kind etc.) including but not be limited to beneficiary database, receipt, storage, dispatch and distributions.
- Represent NRC at local level stakeholders and participate in meetings called by local representative and/or other partners operating in the area.
