I - THE OPPORTUNITY

The GBV-Child Protection Case Worker will manage individual cases of Gender-Based Violence. He/she is responsible for identifying and managing cases of GBV and children at risk, systematizing the procedure for determining the best interests of the child in relevant cases. He/she works in close collaboration with the other case workers and the GBV manager.

He/she also updates the various databases relating to the management of GBV and child protection cases, and ensures that an action plan is put in place. promoting the well-being of the targeted individuals. He/she ensures that cases are referred to the structures depending on their needs, and that they are placed/institutionalized if necessary.

II- ABOUT YOU

The GBV and child protection case manager must have at least a 3-year degree in social sciences, sociology, law or project planning, and a good knowledge of refugee status laws and the protection policies of the UNHCR and Plan International. He/she must have proven experience in mastering the SOPs on GBV and child protection and a good knowledge of the mapping of stakeholders involved in GBV and child protection. Knowledge of the mandatory stages of case management and good use of case management assessment tools.
