Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) is one of the UNDP’s six Global Policy Centers. ICPSD supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. ICPSD leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all around the world. Moreover, under the thematic area of private sector’s role in skills generation, ICPSD offers evidence-based knowledge and advisory services aiming to expand job opportunities for the disadvantaged through increasing the private sector’s engagement in skills development.

This assignment is part of UNDP ICPSD’s Frontier Tech Leaders Programme. The Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The first implementation of the Programme is ongoing for the LDC students who are studying at the Turkish universities. Over the following months, the Programme will be implemented in several LDCs and developing countries, including but not limited to Djibouti, Bangladesh, Seychelles etc.

The Programme includes Career Advice Sessions for participants. These sessions aim to offer best practices and valuable tips for establishing a successful career in the fast-paced tech industry. Each session will run for 90 minutes, and the project team will facilitate them online. Further details regarding the dates, times, and beneficiaries for subsequent sessions will be provided later.

  • Conduct the Career Advise Sessions for the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme participant cohorts,

  • Provide consultation and practical advises to the Frontier Tech Leaders participants on the subjects below, during the sessions:

  1. Successful career development in the field of Frontier Technologies,

  2. Useful tips on recruitment & interview processes of tech staff,

  3. Best practices on professional CV writing, LinkedIn profile writing & optimization, cover letter writing,

  4. Best practices on LinkedIn job seeking and networking,

  5. Other useful tips on career development in the tech industry.

  • Providing guidance on participants’ specific questions on career development in the tech industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration, international relations, public administration, or related areas.

  • Minimum of 5 years of staff recruitment and/or career consultancy experience in the tech industry.

  • Proven interest and/or experience in teaching career establishment and development in the tech industry.
